The Issues

Issues Overview

The positive impact of increased investment in education results in increased employment opportunities which leads to a growing commerce and trade sector allowing more money to be dedicated to modernized healthcare services resulting in improved well being of all Ugandans.

EducationImproved and Equal Opportunities for education for all Ugandans.
Government upgrade of services country wide, including improved teacher salary and benefits. A specific focus on learning and skill training that leads to employment in various sectors. Fair and equal opportunities for education regardless of economic status and position. The current system is developing two Ugandans: the Uganda of the rich and one of the poor.

Employment Increased opportunities for employment in all sectors.
An improvement in education, including trade schools will increase job creation potential. Concentration on polytechnic and apprentice trade academic programs. Investment in sciences including computer, mechanical and engineering. Tap into global trends using technology, harness the power of the internet to create opportunities.

Commerce and TradeImproved Economic Sustainability for Uganda.
Including investing in infrastructure to support a global network of goods and production. An increase to a minimum budget of 10% for agriculture would only be the beginning. Followed by the creation of a Citizens' Empowerment Fund to support smaller and start-up enterprises. Responsible foreign investment including restrictions on foreign retail trade to protect vulnerable sectors. Reviving cooperatives and exploring block export opportunies will lead to increased economic growth.

HealthCareA healthy Uganda is a Strong Uganda.
Investment in both public and private sector, increase healthcare budget and modernize equipment and hospitals. Enforce public health laws and better supervision and training of health care workers. Improve response to HIV Aids epidemic. Equal access to care for all Ugandans.

Improved Well BeingUgandans deserve a future that rivals their strength.
A stronger leader equals a stronger government and a stronger government equals a stronger people. The fight against poverty and corruption will result in a more stable and peaceful country, increased investment in Ugandan enterprises and improved education and healthcare. The choice is clear.
